Class 6A features some of the best talent in the state, and every night you are going to face players who are going to play at the next level. Southmoore and head coach Tim Stogsdill understands the mission, and after missing the state tournament last season the players are focused and ready to prove they belong in the conversation as one of the top teams in Class 6A.

“The 2024-25 Southmoore basketball team is young, talented, and hungry to prove themselves as one of the top squads in 6A. The roster returns three starters and a total of six key contributors from last year’s team, which was one game away from the state tournament. Despite not having a single senior on the roster, the Sabercats feel as if they are ready to earn their way into a state tournament qualifier and championship contender,” said coach Stogsdill.

Tyson Pogi (So.) may only be a sophomore, but he made his presence felt last season and is ready to help lead this team. Pogi was the No. 1 ranked freshman in the state last season at Mustang High School where he started from the Broncos. Pogi is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and a player who can take over games.

Kolton Brammer (Jr.) is another dynamic player in the backcourt for Southmoore. Brammer will be a three-year starter who averaged 18.7 points and shot 42.3% from the three-point line and 88.3% from the free-throw line. Brammer could become Southmoore’s all-time leading scorer as a junior.

Both players bring a high IQ to the court and will be tough to stop this season. Younger players must mature and step up for the Sabercats to make a legitimate run at the state tournament. That should not be too difficult due to several players seeing quality playing time last season.
