The Southmoore softball team is headed to the state tournament after defeating Yukon 8-2, 6-5 to take the regional crown last week.
Southmoore carried a 30-6 overall record heading into the state tournament. The Sabercats defeated Broken Arrow 7-3 in the first round of the state tournament Thursday night, and will now face Mustang in the second round on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
Mustang defeated Edmond Memorial 6-2 on Thursday to advance to the second round.
