Southmoore Sabercats
Head Coach: Josh Norman
2020 Record: 3-8
Offense
The Sabercats attack will be built around Noah Peters (6-0, 175, Sr.) at quarterback. Peters threw for 1,182 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. Head coach Josh Norman would like to see an expanded running game from his signal caller. Peters scored seven rushing touchdowns and was the second leading ground gainer last year. Norman has turned over the play calling duties to newly hired offensive coordinator Steve Day, former Dickson head coach. Peters has thrown the ball well during the summer and has a new weapon in Moore transfer Bryce Rusche (5-6, 160, Sr.) who has caught everything thrown in his vicinity. Markus Means (5-8, 170, Jr.) adds experience at running back where he will be joined by Cayden Durham (5-11, 185, So.). Cayden is the younger brother to the graduated Corey Durham, who averaged over 100 yards per game on the ground in 2020. Cayden Durham has breakout potential to be one of the best players in the metro. The offensive line is built around the combination of Joshua Clay (6-0, 255, Sr.) and Jonquil Rogers (6-1, 275, Sr.).
