Every position on the football field comes with its own responsibilities and pressures. None more complicated than the position of quarterback. Southmoore senior Noah Peters has felt that pressure for years. The senior started playing football when he was eight years old.
“I love the brotherhood in football,” said Peters. “I love the brotherhood we have on our team.”
As one of the leaders on the SaberCat football team, Peters said leadership is what you do to help your fellow player and lift them up as a teammate.
“I think a leader should lead by example, even when no one is watching,” said Peters.
Southmoore’s start to the 2021 season is not what they expected coming into the new year, but Peters and his teammates are confident they can get things back on track and push for a playoff berth. Two big road games are up next with the SaberCats going on the road to Moore and Mustang followed by a home game against Putnam City Original.
Once his playing days at Southmoore are over, Peters said he will go to college to pursue a degree and hopefully get the chance to play at the next level.
